Kay Gee 40

Kay Gee 40 is an Afro-fusion singer, rapper and guitarist from Zimbabwe.

His passion for music started at a tender age and he further cemented it by studying Ethnomusicology at Mutare Polytechnic College. This helped him develop a unique Hip Hop inspired afro fusion soulful sound. His first song to top the charts was 6 O' clock, featuring Trae Yung, in 2016. Ever since then, his music has enjoyed a reputable share on Zimbabwe's music scene across radio stations. After the success of his single Sterek, he was privileged to strike a deal with a South African based company called Najsh Brands to have a fragrance branded after the hit song.

Kay Gee 40 has been nominated at the Zim Hop Awards for Best Group and Best Gospel (2017) as well as for Best Collaboration and Best Alternative (2018). Besides opening for Shekhina at Unplugged Zimbabwe, he has also performed at the H.I.F.A (2015 and 2018), Zim Hip Hop Awards (2018) and Shoko Festival (2013), just to mention a few. Kay Gee 40's music caters to the love, social commentary, spiritual and feel good vibe audience.
