GNARTY Saint
Bio
South African artist and producer Gnarty has been building his career steadily for nearly two decades. Known for his soothing and distinctive voice, he is gradually becoming a recognizable name in the South African music scene.
Born Nkosinathi Samukelisiwe Zikalala in Soweto, Gnarty grew up surrounded by music and was strongly influenced by his late brother, who was also an artist. He first gained national attention after winning a rap battle on the television show One Mic on SABC 1, where industry figures DJ Sbo F of Ukhozi FM and the late Linda “Pro” Mkhize praised him as the standout performer of the show.
In 2024, guided by his spiritual convictions, Gnarty removed his entire 13 year catalogue from the internet and shifted his focus toward gospel inspired music. His 2026 single Abba marked the beginning of this new chapter and has since become the biggest song of his career.
