Diana Hopeson

Diana Hopeson (formerly Diana Akiwumi) is a missionary, recording and performing artist from Ghana with 11 albums and an EP.

Her hit songs include ‘Winner’ ‘Onyame Ye Odomfo’, ‘Agyenkwa Hene’ and ‘Koso Aba’. Hopeson has travelled extensively as a minister and music and conference speaker. As a Lausanne ARTs Catalyst at Large, her mission is to help enlighten church leaders to embrace Artistic Christians for ministries in the church and world mission.

Hopeson is the CEO of GHMusic Publishing & Management. She is also the second vice chairman of Ghana Music Rights Owners Society of Ghana (GHAMRO) and Vodaphone Ghana Music Awards board member. Hopeson has been instrumental in making policies for the creative industry, especially music. She has served on other national boards and committees including the National Theatre, and the National Intellectual Property Policy Committee. Hopeson is the immediate former Musicians Union of Ghana, (MUSIGA) president and the current Reconciliation Alliance Consult (RAC) deputy CEO and co-founder of the Center for Peace and Reconciliation.

Hopeson graduated with an Advanced International Certificate Course of IP Panorama Multimedia Contents of the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO), World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO), Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) and the Korean Invention Promotion association (KIPA). She has benefitted from the U.S. Department of Commerce Commercial Law Development (CLDP) IP Programmes (CLDP) in Africa. Hopeson is a graduate of the Christian Leaders Institute, University of Ghana’s School of Performing Arts, Youth with a Mission (YWAM)’s College of Arts and Sports of the University of the Nations (UofN), Kona-Hawaii, USA and MPhil from the University of Education, Winneba in Guidance and Counselling.

She worships at the Fountain Gate Chapel, Life Pastures, East Legon with her husband Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Hopeson as Guest Ministers and they are blessed with a son.
