Brian Temba

Bio

Brian Temba is a singer, songwriter and producer from Pretoria, South Africa. He began his music career as a backing singer for Hugh Masekela, Jonathan Butler and Vicky Vilakazi. He was part of trailblazing groups; Joyous Celebration, Family Factory and IV U (For You).

Brian Temba’s specialties are RnB, gospel, soul and house music. He has released two albums namely 'Something Better' and 'T.I.M.T'. He is a Metro FM Award winner in the Best RnB Song category as well as the South African Music Award winner for Best RnB Album. In January 2017, he released a third album known as 'UnApologetic, UnBreakable, UnCensored(UNABC)'. He also plays a leading role of Ranthomeng on a popular soap opera 'Muvhango' that is aired on SABC 2.

He was part of 'Lion and the Lamb' musical play directed by John Kani – Market Theatre in South Africa. He has done a number of recordings with Joyous Celebration 20 (ALUMNI) Live Recording in December 2015 and was involved in various soundtracks locally and internationally for movies such as Pride (starring Terrance Howard and Bernie Mac), Tears of the Sun (starring Bruce Willis) and an Ireland production called Highway Freedom.
