Abongile Aaron

David Perseverance Abongile Aaron was  born in Philipstown and grew up in Upington. He realised early in life that he will be in the entertainment industry weather it be behind the scenes or in front of them.

He attented three primary schools and two high schools. After matriculating from Kimberly Boys' High, he did a few short courses and went on to obtain a national certificate in Performing Arts at New Africa Theater Association  in Cape Town and currently sits with an incomplete Sound Engineering Dimploma from which he couldn't finish due to financial constraints.

After being forced to drop out he went on to become a prominent DJ in his community (Paballelo) for 6 years. Being a DJ wasn't helping with paying the bills and this led him to abandoned his DJing career to become a service consultant at a bank.

While working at the bank he opened the first tshisa nyama in kakamas and in the process revived his love for the arts (entertainment). He left his job to focus on his business which was sold while he was renting. This took him a thousand steps back in every walk of life.

After the termoil and sorrow he went through Phanda Pozi was born. Phanda Pozi is a multimedia conglomerate company which focuses on artist management and booking services at the moment. These services will be provided by Phanda Pozi Media, which is a subsidiary of Phanda Pozi. At the moment Phanda Pozi Media represents 5 artist in the Upington area.
