Bio

Real name- Majekodunmi Fasheke, he was born in Benin City, Nigeria to a Yoruba Father and Edo Mother.He started out his musical career in the Reggae Group Jastix Reggae Ital, which famously was the only band granted the priviledge of performing at Fela Anikulapo's Afrkan Shrine on sunday afternoons in the mid-1980's. This band also had as members other Nigerian Reggae legends like Ras Kimono, Amos McRoy Jegg and Black Rice.

He embarked on a solo career in 1987, releasing his hit album "Prisoner of conscience", which included the global hit "Send down the rain" propelling him to legend status. He was to release a string of other albums, moving to the USA and touring extensively alongside global stars like Los Lobos, Sly and Robbie etc.

He returned to Nigeria in 1999 and still tours internationally to a loyal fan-base in Nigeria and the USA in particular.
